Summer Meal Pick-Up Cancelled – Thursday, July 16 For the safety of our staff due to the extreme heat and poor air quality, Summer Meal Pick-Up for tonight (Thursday, July 16) has been cancelled. Good Morning, Mohawks! Today is the first Summer Food Program pickup from 3:00-6:00 pm! Please refer to the attached map for traffic flow directions. All vehicles should enter through the Elementary School entrance and follow the designated route through the parking lot, looping around to the front of the High School. Food pickup will take place directly outside the High School cafeteria, where Food Service staff will bring meals to your vehicle. For the safety and efficiency of the pickup process, please remain in your vehicle and do not park or exit your car while in the pickup line. I would like to say thank you to the Morley, American Legion personnel. The incident with the bus this morning occurred right in front of American Legion parking lot. Their staff and members open the doors to the building to give our students a warm, comfortable and safe place to wait. Statement from Mr. Cole: I wanted to follow up regarding this morning’s incident. According to findings from law enforcement, the accident involving one of our buses and another vehicle was not the fault of the bus driver, and no citation was issued to the driver. We are very thankful and relieved that no one was seriously injured beyond a few minor bumps and bruises. I also want to commend our staff and emergency response personnel for their quick response and support of our students during the situation.
Accident Update: All students involved in this morning’s bus-related vehicle accident have been evaluated and released to their parents. We are thankful to report that there were no serious injuries.
We are aware of an incident involving a bus and another vehicle. Administration and emergency personnel are on the scene, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Morley Stanwood Community Schools invites our community to attend the second round of Superintendent candidate interviews on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Interview Schedule:
• 6:30 PM – James Nelson, M.A.
• 7:30 PM – W. Zachary Fricke, M.S.
All interviews will take place in the High School Cafeteria and are open to the public.
At the conclusion of the interviews, the Board of Education will determine which candidate to offer the Superintendent position to.
